The volcanism of the Sierra de Cabo de Gata contributed to the formation of a mineral deposit with an industrial use: gold; and hexagonal lava flows, which gave rise to a more humble extraction mining: the cobblestones. The Agua Amarga mineral dock is a witness to this activity, which left its mark on the Route to Rodalquilar and Cortijo El Fraile, where we find the famous Cerro del Cinto. In the Casa de los Volcanes he dedicates one of the rooms to the interpretation of human influence in the territory through mining.
